GPS Powergain is Noticeable
Purchase this antenna for my Garmin 2620 and noticed increased satellite strength immediately. Although it's still winter and the leaves are bare right now, driving through the same mountain range, with the antenna I get reception on all 8 available satellites with 100% strength on 7. Without the antenna, I was only getting maybe 5 to 6 satellites and at most 75% strength on each with one or two at 100%.
Only issues I have are the connector is very small and not very easy to remove once you have installed it. You need some strong nails and fingertips to get it out. The only other issue is the magnetic strength is not as strong as other magnetic antenna (XM radio) that I've had. It's strong enough to stay, thus far.
Very good unit but have not tested it in NYC city driving, where dropped signal is constant. Will update once I get chance to test it there.
